So, The Swimmer.

Looked a bit weird, unusual. But I like watching movies with Burt Lancaster in them, and it had a high IMDB rating of 7.6.

I have to admit when I started to watch it, I was thinking, what is this? Why I am watching this? Kind of cliche, going nowhere, no real emotional draw.

But it was one of those remarkable movies that got better over time, little subtle hints along the way.

And at the haunting end, I was thinking, wow, that really was quite something, and as is common after a good movie, had me thinking about my own life.

Anyway, I won't give too much away. A classic, with elements of genius.
